Japanese idol groups ME:I and INI announce new releases and tour plans

The girl group ME:I, formed from the TV audition show PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS, discussed upcoming activities in an Osaka interview. Members KEIKO and SUZU said they aim to show their resolve as they prepare to release their fourth single “花咲く道” in August and launch a second nationwide arena tour. They reflected on the challenges of their debut, variety‑show work and modeling, and noted how the group has grown over three years.

Boy band INI released the rock‑driven track “BEYOND THE SKY” as the official anthem for the Aichi‑Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. The song was made available for streaming on 5 August, with a download release scheduled for 14 September ahead of the group’s ninth single “ANTHEM”. INI member Goto Issei, also the group’s ambassador for the Games, will appear at the opening ceremony in Nagoya.

Both groups are promoting new music and live performances as part of Japan’s vibrant idol scene.
