Japanese Imperial Family hosts Autumn Garden Party at Akasaka Palace

The Emperor and Empress of Japan hosted the annual Autumn Garden Party at Akasaka Palace in Tokyo. The event was attended by approximately 1,800 guests from various fields, including Prime Minister Takaichi and members of the Diet.

Members of the Imperial Family, including Princess Aiko, Crown Prince Akishino, and Princess Kako, were in attendance. In a departure from the previous event's Western-style attire, the female members of the Imperial Family wore colorful traditional Japanese kimonos. Prince Hisahito did not attend due to university commitments.

Notable guests included actor Kotaro Yoshida, author Miyuki Miyabe, astronaut Takuya Onishi, and DeNA founder Tomoko Namba. The Imperial couple engaged with guests, offering words of encouragement for their continued success. The event featured traditional cuisine such as Genghis Khan and yakitori.
