Japanese industrial firms expand logistics and manufacturing capacity

Japanese industrial companies are expanding their logistics and manufacturing capabilities. Trusco Nakayama, a wholesaler of machine tools, has commenced operations at its new HC East Japan Logistics Center in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture. This facility serves as the company's 30th logistics base and is designed to meet growing demand from home centers and manage overseas imports.

Separately, Toyo Kanetsu has acquired land in Arida, Wakayama Prefecture, for the construction of a new factory dedicated to its logistics solution business. The company aims to increase production capacity by 1.5 times and build a foundation capable of supporting sales growth up to 60 billion yen. The new facility will utilize automation and robotics to improve productivity and enhance disaster resilience by diversifying production sites near its existing Wakayama plant.
