Japanese mascot competition Yuru Bāsu 2026 sees new entries

The municipal mascot Kuwamaru of Isesaki City has entered the Yuru Bāsu 2026 competition, the successor to the former Yuru Chara Grand Prix that crowns Japan's top regional mascot. Voting runs from 1 August to 3 October 2026, with each person allowed one vote per day via the Yuru Navi portal or through Amazon purchase‑based points.

East Tech Group’s mascot Kokochi also made its debut in Yuru Bāsu 2026, representing the company’s “comfortable space‑creation” slogan. The entry aims to raise the group’s brand awareness while encouraging public support during the same voting period.
