Japanese entertainment sector announces new manga, anime, and pop culture releases
Various Japanese entertainment and pop culture entities have announced new product releases and promotional events.
In the manga and anime sector, Shogakukan is releasing a limited-edition boxed set of the soccer manga ‘Aoashi’ in February 2027. The series ‘The New Prince of Tennis’ will conclude with its 48th volume on September 4, 2026, accompanied by commemorative fairs at Animate stores. Additionally, ‘My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected’ will see new apparel and merchandise featuring swimsuit-themed illustrations released at Animate locations in November 2026.
Bushiroad Creative will host a ‘Love Live! Series Official Card Game’ pop-up store across three locations starting September 11, 2026. In the food industry, Akagi Nyugyo is launching Pokémon-themed ‘Milcrea’ ice cream packages, featuring a campaign for original goods.
