Japanese media personalities Kurumi Tani and Tetsushi Ebihara draw attention

TV Asahi announcer Kurumi Tani has drawn significant social media attention following her debut as a sub-MC on the music program ‘Music Station’. Tani, a new hire this year, took over the role previously held by Niina Suzuki. After her first broadcast, Tani shared on Instagram that she was moved to tears by the support of the production staff.

Separately, Tetsushi Ebihara, an announcer for Nippon Television and the sixth principal of the Nippon Television Academy, held a graduation ceremony for the academy’s first ‘Expert Class’ cohort. Ebihara, who maintains his active broadcasting career alongside his educational role, became emotional while providing feedback to the students. He emphasized the importance of developing both professional announcing skills and strong character to navigate the era of AI in broadcasting.
