Japanese Morning Routines Promote Longevity

Japan records almost 100,000 centenarians, the highest number worldwide, according to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Health officials attribute part of this longevity to five simple morning habits.

The practices include drinking a cup of warm water on an empty stomach to re‑hydrate and aid blood flow, exposing oneself to early sunlight for vitamin D and serotonin production, and performing gentle head, face and body massage to stimulate circulation and reduce blood‑pressure spikes. Together, these routines are said to support natural detoxification, strengthen immunity and help maintain bone and kidney health.

Adopting these low‑cost habits is presented as a natural complement to more expensive supplements or medical services, offering a practical daily routine for those seeking a healthier, longer life.
