Japanese motorcycle racers achieve notable victories in domestic and international series

Japanese motorcycle racers have secured significant victories in both domestic and international competitions. Katsuya Nakasuga, a veteran rider for the YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM, is approaching his retirement following a historic career. Nakasuga has achieved 94 wins and 13 championships in the All Japan Road Race Championship JSB1000 class. His team director, Wataru Yoshikawa, highlighted Nakasuga’s intense commitment to winning and his disciplined physical training as key factors in his longevity and success.

In international competition, Gouyu Nakagawa secured an overall victory in the Super Sport 600cc class at the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike Championship 2026, held at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand. Competing with the NJT S-OIL Racing Team, Nakagawa utilized his motocross-honed machine control skills to navigate heavy rain and secure the win. Nakagawa, who is trilingual in Japanese, English, and Thai, aims to compete in MotoGP and plans to expand his activities into the Thai entertainment industry.
