Japanese movie 'Wandance' starring JO of &TEAM opens Nov 27, 2026 with theme song 'For us

The live‑action adaptation of Kōhī’s popular manga "Wandance" will be released nationwide in Japan on 27 November 2026. Directed by Naoya Kusaba, the film stars JO (of the music group &TEAM) as the protagonist Kaboo, alongside a youthful cast that includes Ikebata Anzu, Yamaguchi Kira, RAN, TSUKKI and Takamatsu Aloha.

The movie’s official trailer and teaser visual were released, revealing part of the storyline where Kaboo discovers his passion for dance after meeting the charismatic Wanda. The theme song, "For us," performed by &TEAM, will be digitally released on 1 August and is featured prominently in the trailer. Additional original tracks—over twenty in total—have been produced for the film by origami PRODUCTIONS and GuruConnect, supporting both narrative scenes and dance‑battle sequences.

The project is backed by the Wandance Production Committee and distributed by Happinet Phantom Studio, with promotional material shared across official X, Instagram and TikTok channels.
