Japanese music scene sees new talent launches and EBiDAN milestones

The Japanese music scene is seeing significant developments through new talent discovery and established artist milestones. The talent search program ‘Music Koshien’ launched on October 15, featuring MCs Nagano and Hiromae Igeta. The program aims to uncover undiscovered musical talent among high school students across various genres, including hip hop, enka, and rock, and will be broadcast simultaneously on TV Asahi and ABEMA.

Meanwhile, the artist collective EBiDAN is reaching new heights. The group is set to make its first appearance on ‘Music Station’ on October 16, performing the 15th-anniversary song ‘Yes! Tokyo’. The collective, which includes groups such as M!LK and Chotokkyu, has seen massive success; M!LK has achieved significant streaming numbers and million-selling albums, while Chotokkyu is preparing for sold-out performances at the Tokyo Dome following viral success on social media.
