Japanese national teams prepare for Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games

Japanese national athletes in badminton and volleyball are preparing for the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, which is scheduled to begin on September 19.

Badminton player Akane Yamaguchi, currently ranked third in the world in women's singles, participated in a training camp at the Ajinomoto National Training Center. After missing individual events in the previous Hangzhou games due to injury, Yamaguchi aims to contribute to the team event and pursue a title on home soil.

The Japanese women's volleyball team, led by captain Nanami Seki, is also preparing for the tournament. Following recent performances in the Nations League and Asian Championships, the team will begin its campaign with a match against Nepal on September 16. Seki expressed a focus on winning individual matches to build toward potential medal success.
