Japanese personalities report health challenges

Former Nadeshiko Japan soccer player and television personality Karina Maruyama has announced a hiatus from work due to a vocal cord blood clot. Maruyama reported via Instagram that she experienced a sudden loss of voice and was advised by doctors that her condition is not good, necessitating rest to recover.

Separately, voice actor Norio Tsukui, known for voicing the character ‘Nyanchu’ in NHK’s ‘Nyanchu World Broadcasting Station,’ provided an update on his battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Tsukui reported experiencing difficulty moving his eyelids, which he attributes to the progression of the disease. He expressed a commitment to managing his daily pace and making adjustments to slow the progression of his symptoms.
