NPB players face roster changes and winter league assignments

Several Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) players are facing significant roster changes following the conclusion of the season. The Tokyo Yakult Swallows announced that pitcher Reishi Ozawa, infielder Eigoro Mogi, and infielder Keigo Kitamura will not be offered contracts for the upcoming season.

The Saitama Seibu Lions have notified outfielder Atsumasa Chano that he will not be returning next season. In contrast, the Lions are sending three players—pitchers Harukaze Narita and Yoshinori Saito, and Yuta Nakami—to the Puerto Rico Winter League to gain experience and improve their skills.

Following his release from the Yomiuri Giants, infielder Dai Yuasa has begun independent training in an effort to continue his professional career. Meanwhile, Giants pitcher Onta Inoue expressed his ambition to compete for an opening day starting role under the new management of Hideki Matsui.
