Japanese publishers announce new book releases and international expansions

The Japanese publishing sector is seeing new releases and international activities. Worldlibrary has announced several updates, including the release of the Halloween-themed book ‘Kowai Kowai!’ and the English version of its popular title ‘Blue Night’. The publisher has also expanded its reach with simultaneous releases in France and participation in the Bologna Book Fair.

Additionally, popular creator Nishimura Yuji, known for characters such as ‘Gokigen Panda’ from Studio UG, will release his first picture book titled ‘Tanuki Daihassei’. Published by Magazine House, the book is scheduled for release on November 12, 2026, and focuses on a variety of raccoon dog characters.
