Japanese Qualitative Psychology Society Announces 2026 Tokyo Conference

The Japanese Qualitative Psychology Society has scheduled its 23rd annual conference for October 31 to November 1, 2026 at the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus. The event’s theme, “Viewing Narratives, Listening to Silence,” builds on the society’s 2005 meeting on “Narratives.” Renowned cultural anthropologist Naoki Nomura, Professor Emeritus at Nagoya City University, will deliver an invited lecture. The program includes a range of symposia, poster sessions, and a pre‑conference workshop on qualitative research methods, with opportunities for members to present their work and compete for awards.

The society encourages participation from its members and the broader academic community, noting that registration details and the conference website will be released in May, with applications opening in June.
