Japanese Regional Initiatives Launch to Empower Women’s Careers in Hiroshima and Mie

In Hiroshima, Yasuda Gakuen and Hirogin Holdings have introduced a three‑month “Career Ownership Program” for 20 female employees of local companies. The training helps participants identify their strengths, values, and preferred work styles, encouraging them to take charge of their career paths.

Separately, Mie Prefecture’s 2026‑2027 “Women Employment Support Project” offers free online courses—over 800 e‑learning modules—and two months of personalized career consulting, including resume reviews and interview preparation. The initiative targets women facing life‑event transitions such as marriage, childcare, or caregiving, and provides AI‑focused classes like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Applications open on 21 July 2026 and close on 21 January 2027.
