Japanese television programming highlights regional autumn travel and cuisine

Various Japanese television networks have announced special programming focused on regional autumn tourism, seasonal cuisine, and scenic landscapes.

In Chiba, a special tour of the Boso Peninsula will feature seafood, local dairy products, and seasonal specialties like peanuts. Meanwhile, BS Nittele is set to broadcast a railway-themed travel program, ranking day trips to locations such as Mount Takao, Hakone, and Kusatsu Onsen for viewing autumn foliage.

In Miyagi Prefecture, East Japan Broadcasting (khb) will air a multi-hour live special titled ‘Asuto Tsunagaru TV: Miyagi Autumn, Let’s Eat!’. The program will utilize several popular local shows to showcase seasonal ingredients, producers, and scenic spots, including live broadcasts from Guriri Park.
