Japanese resorts announce seasonal travel and dining plans

Several Japanese hospitality providers have announced seasonal travel and accommodation plans.

Kyukamura Nyuto Onsenkyo in Akita Prefecture is launching a buffet-focused accommodation plan starting September 1, 2026. The plan coincides with the autumn foliage season at Akita Komagatake, which typically peaks between mid-September and mid-October. Guests can choose between a luxury seafood and meat buffet or a plan featuring Hinai Jidori chicken and white maitake mushroom steamed in a clay pot. The buffet includes local specialties such as Kiritanpo nabe and Yama-no-imo nabe.

In Okinawa, EM Wellness Kurashi no Hakko Lifestyle Resort is holding an autumn travel sale running from August 24 to September 11, 2026. The sale offers discounts of up to 50% on various stay styles for travel occurring between August 2026 and March 2027. Options include long-stay packages, wellness stays, and stays in new natural-material guest rooms, focusing on a lifestyle-oriented wellness experience through fermented foods and spa services.
