Japanese restaurant chains launch summer discount bundles with 3,000‑yen fukubukuro

Tokyo‑based grill chain Niku Sho Sakai will sell a limited‑edition summer fukubukuro from 15 July 2026 at two Hachioji locations. Each bag costs ¥3,000 and includes ¥4,000 worth of restaurant coupons (split into two ¥2,000 portions usable from August to December) plus original merchandise such as a summer tote bag, branded miso sauce, a tumbler and an ice‑cream spoon. Only 20 bags per store are available.

National fast‑food chain Nakau will offer its own summer fukubukuro nationwide from 17 July 2026 at a price of ¥3,000. The bag contains ¥3,000 in coupons (¥200 each, 15 tickets) valid at any Nakau outlet until 31 December 2026, together with three exclusive items: a sudachi‑themed eco‑bag, a clear‑bottle water bottle, and a cooling towel. Sales are limited to one bag per customer and are on‑site only.

Both promotions are aimed at providing consumers with 100 % coupon value and seasonal branded goods as a response to rising living costs.
