Japanese retailers announce 2027 New Year lucky bag collections

Several Japanese companies have unveiled details for their 2027 New Year lucky bag, or fukubukuro, offerings.

Doutor Coffee Shop is collaborating with Sanrio character Cinnamoroll to offer nine different varieties of sets. These range from 2,400 yen to 12,000 yen and include items such as original plushies, tote bags, coffee beans, and drip coffee sets. Some sets feature Cinnamoroll wearing a Doutor uniform. Reservations for these items are scheduled to begin on October 30, 2026, with sales starting in late December.

Food retailer Saint Chez has also announced its New Year Bag 2027 lineup. The collection features three price tiers: 2,000 yen, 3,000 yen, and 5,000 yen. Each bag contains a selection of pasta sauces, dressings, jams, or snacks, and comes with an original non-woven bag depicting the Saint Chez hill. Reservations for Saint Chez products are set to open on November 20 at participating stores.
