Japanese retailers launch new video game character merchandise in July

Nintendo's Kirby franchise expanded its July merchandise lineup, offering apparel, plush toys, figures, amiibo, stickers and other accessories through the Kirby Colorful Store and Kirby Café. Items include a glowing seal, mini piggy bank, mini figure charms, a Kirby Café T‑shirt, and a Dedede & Tank Star amiibo among other collectibles.

Separate from Nintendo, Japanese discount retailer Shimamura began selling "The World of GOLDEN EGGS" goods on July 7, both in selected stores and online. The range features novelty items such as a chest‑muscle correction supporter and a "Turkey Ranger" toy, capitalising on the popular CG‑animation series.

Both releases target fans of the respective video‑game series and reflect a broader trend of Japanese retailers issuing themed merchandise for summer 2024.
