Japanese schools announce entrance exam practice sessions

Several Japanese junior and senior high schools have announced upcoming preparatory events for prospective students regarding the 2026 entrance examination season.

Hosen Gakuen Junior and Senior High School will hold an entrance exam experience session on December 12, 2026. The event allows students to practice in an environment similar to the actual exam, including using the official application forms. The school will also host individual consultations and information sessions led by the principal during the exam period. Applications for this free event open on October 12.

Shoin Junior and Senior High School is offering English interview practice sessions for sixth-grade students applying for Global Studies (GS) admissions. These sessions, scheduled for the morning of December 5 and the afternoon of December 12, 2026, provide 20-minute mock interviews followed by feedback and advice. Unlike the actual entrance exams, parents are permitted to observe these practice sessions.
