Japanese schools conduct student inquiry and field programs
Educational institutions in Japan have conducted specialized student inquiry programs. Funabashi Gakuen Toyo High School held a poster tour for first and second-year students on September 18. The theme focused on the connection between university research and contemporary social issues. Students researched academic fields and investigated how specific disciplines address societal challenges, culminating in formal presentations.
Separately, Kitasato University Junten Junior and Senior High School organized a science inquiry trip for seventh-grade students from September 3 to 5. The itinerary included trekking at the Hoei crater, exploring forests and caves, walking near spring water, and visiting a farm. Students participated in hands-on activities such as catching trout and observing various geological formations.
