Japanese schools hold end-of-term ceremony and rally for sports festival
Jōhoku Saitama Middle/High School in Kawagoe held its first‑semester ending ceremony on 21 July. The assembly featured the school anthem, a speech by Principal Sone, awards for the photo club, baseball and cycling teams, and safety briefings on heatstroke and social‑media use. A send‑off for the cycling team heading to the inter‑high competition was also conducted, and the summer break schedule—including English camps in Australia—was announced.
A few weeks earlier, Happiness Science Academy Kansai Middle/High School organized a morning assembly to launch preparations for its upcoming sports festival. Student leaders, including the student council president and sports‑festival committee heads, delivered speeches encouraging unity, gratitude to supporters, and prayers for a successful event.
Both schools used the assemblies to reinforce community spirit, outline upcoming activities, and promote student safety and participation.
