Japanese schools hold safety and prevention workshops
Educational workshops focused on safety and prevention were held at schools in Japan. At Iwate Prefectural Ohno High School, students participated in a drug abuse prevention class led by Iwate Prefectural Police School Supporter Kimihiko Kashiwazaki and Kuji Police Station Life Safety Division Chief Wataru Takahashi. The session included video presentations on the dangers of illicit drugs and a quiz to reinforce learning.
At Hiroshima Municipal Yoshijima Junior High School, a traffic safety demonstration was conducted by a stuntman to simulate bicycle accidents. The session aimed to increase awareness of traffic rules and the risks of speeding. This initiative follows a rise in bicycle accidents in the Hiroshima Chuo Police Station jurisdiction, which saw 130 incidents between January and September, an increase of 43 compared to the same period last year.
