Japanese schools host community festivals with student-led stalls
Various educational institutions in Japan recently held community festivals featuring student-led activities.
Students from the Clark Mita Campus participated in the Takatsu Furusato Festival on September 16, 2026. They operated game stalls including target shooting and magnetic fishing games, which were popular among local children. The event allowed students to practice coordination and community engagement through preparation and management of the stalls.
St. Stephen's Academy held its annual festival on September 5. Despite initial weather concerns, the event proceeded successfully. Elementary school students organized various workshops and food stalls, such as fish games and roasted corn, while middle school students managed activities including ramen stalls, dumplings, and a haunted house.
