Japanese schools host workplace tours for students

On July 14, 2026, third‑year students from Kaisei Middle School visited New Tokyo Hospital in Japan as part of a career‑education program. The students observed the hospital’s operating rooms, learned about team‑based patient care, and tried hands‑on activities such as handling a da Vinci surgical robot under the guidance of Dr. Hideki Sunagawa of the gastrointestinal surgery department.

On May 20, 2026, Takaoka High Support School held its first corporate‑focused workplace tour, welcoming representatives from 35 companies and employment agencies. Fifty‑one participants observed classroom and workshop activities and later discussed issues of disability employment, workplace adjustments, and inclusion with the visiting employers. Both events aim to deepen students’ understanding of professional environments and strengthen connections between schools and the broader community.
