Japanese security firms expand SOC services to include identity and cloud protection

Japanese technology companies are expanding their Security Operations Center (SOC) service capabilities to address increasingly complex cyber threats, specifically focusing on identity protection and multi-platform integration.

Soft Create has expanded its ‘Security FREE’ SOC service to include monitoring for CrowdStrike Falcon, Cato SASE Platform, and Zscaler Platforms. This update allows for centralized management across endpoint, network, and cloud access domains, enabling analysts to perform correlation analysis across different security logs to detect sophisticated attack patterns.

Similarly, Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) has introduced an identity protection feature to its ‘IIJ C-SOC service’. By utilizing CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Threat Protection (ITP), the service monitors authentication activities and permission changes to detect the misuse of legitimate accounts. This addition aims to combat Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) challenges, such as unauthorized privilege escalation and lateral movement, by correlating identity data with existing network and endpoint monitoring.
