Japanese startups utilize Luxembourg as a gateway to European markets

Japanese deep-tech companies are increasingly using Luxembourg as a strategic foothold to expand into the European Union. This trend is driven by the country's position as an international financial hub, its generous government support for startups, and its accessibility to broader European markets.

At the Nexus 2026 international tech event in Luxembourg, a government-invited delegation of 14 Japanese companies demonstrated significant presence. Notable achievements included QunaSys Inc., a quantum computing software firm, winning the AI Platforms & Data category, and SPACECOOL INC., a radiative cooling materials company, securing second place in the Green & Climate Tech category.
