Japanese students present research at educational summits and open schools

Educational institutions in Japan are hosting events focused on student-led inquiry and community well-being.

Fuji Municipal High School held its 'Fuji Quest' open school event, which drew over 120 visitors. The program included public classroom observations and presentations on inquiry-based learning. Students from various departments shared their research, including projects focused on city hall planning, while third-year students delivered personal speeches reflecting on their high school experiences and future goals.

In Shirai City, the 'School Summit' was held at the Nashibo Hall with the theme 'Our Well-being.' Local elementary and junior high school students presented ideas regarding SDGs, environmental issues, and regional development. Presentations included proposals for community stamp rallies and quiz events designed to increase youth engagement in local activities. One group from Oyama Junior High School delivered their presentation entirely in English, focusing on cultural diversity and global communication.
