Japanese tech firms expand AI security and governance services

Japanese technology firms are expanding their focus on information security and governance within the artificial intelligence sector.

BIRD INITIATIVE Inc. has obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its BIIM Cloud service. This international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) covers the development and provision of cloud services. The certification aims to bolster trust for the BIIM Cloud platform, which assists large corporations in new business development, market research, and business model design by handling sensitive, non-public technical and strategic information.

Separately, Givery Inc. is launching an ‘AI Security Advisory Service’ starting October 7, 2026. The service is designed to support growing companies lacking a dedicated Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and large enterprises facing saturated IT resources. The advisory provides expert guidance on managing risks associated with generative AI, such as data leakage, access control, and the governance of AI agents, to ensure secure business acceleration.
