Japanese tech firms host career seminar at NIT Rourkela

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela hosted the “Career Seminar Global South-Japan Tech Talent Internship 2026” to connect students with international career and internship opportunities in Japan.

Organized by the institute’s Career Development Centre in collaboration with Deloitte Tohmatsu, Tech Japan, and the Global South-Japan Tech Talent Internship (GS-JTI), the event featured a delegation of representatives from various organizations, including the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), NanoFrontier, and Nichi-In Software Solutions.

During the seminar, students explored recruitment pathways, overseas internships, and the specific skills required by Japanese technology companies. The visiting delegation also toured several academic departments and laboratories, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, to observe the institute’s multidisciplinary academic ecosystem.
