Japanese television dramas set for October premieres
Several new Japanese television dramas are set to premiere in October.
In the Nippon TV and CJ ENM co-production ‘Merry Berry Love’, actress Rinka Kumada discussed her role as Mari, a cafe worker on a Japanese island. The romantic comedy features a cross-border story between a Korean space planner and a Japanese strawberry farmer. Kumada highlighted the chemistry with co-star Nam Yoon-su, noting that they used translation apps and shared food like kimchi to overcome language barriers during filming.
Additionally, the TV Tokyo drama ‘How to Make a Beloved Boyfriend’ will begin airing on October 7. At a recent press conference, stars Yuki Yoda and Shuhei Nomura discussed the series, which is based on a manga by Zakuzaku. The story follows a woman named Sakura who receives unexpected romantic guidance from a ‘love fairy’ to improve her relationship prospects. Yoda expressed excitement about the character's growth and the comedic nature of the production.
