Japanese TV Announcer Watanabe Nagisa Hospitalized After Fainting

Former Fuji TV announcer and freelance talent Watanabe Nagisa revealed on Instagram that she lost consciousness on July 26 and was taken to hospital by ambulance after also collapsing on a train. She thanked two female passengers who helped her to the station’s medical room and expressed remorse for any inconvenience caused.

Since the episode, she has limited outings, staying at home and using lemongrass herb to support her health.

Comedian Tanoshin Go posted a comment about her condition that was widely condemned as insensitive; he later deleted the post and issued an apology, intensifying the online backlash.
