Japanese TV Drama “Last Note” Episode 1 Catch‑Up Streaming Surpasses 2.7 Million Views

Fuji Television’s Thursday night drama “Last Note,” starring Uchida Yuki and Teranishi Takuto, has become one of the most‑watched catch‑up releases on the platform. Within the week after its premiere (July 9‑16), the first episode’s on‑demand streaming on TVer and FOD reached 2.72 million combined views, ranking it fifth among all Thursday‑drama debuts.

The series follows 49‑year‑old Aoi Ichinose (Uchida) and 30‑year‑old Sumuharu Higuchi (Teranishi), an unlikely age‑gap pair whose lives intertwine around the metaphor of a perfume’s “last note.” Episode 2, aired on July 16, deepened the narrative by revealing Sumuharu’s mysterious past and advancing supporting characters’ storylines. The drama is promoted as a mature adult love story that explores themes of loss, memory, and personal transformation.
