Japanese udon chains launch new seasonal menus

Japanese udon chains Sukisan Udon and Hanamaru Udon have announced new limited-time menu offerings for September 2026.

Sukisan Udon is expanding its clam soup (kaijiru) menu starting September 17. The expansion includes a special large size containing three times the amount of clams found in the standard portion, priced at 530 yen. The chain is also introducing sets that combine the soup with shrimp tempura, such as the shrimp tempura clam soup set.

Hanamaru Udon launched two new dipping noodle (tsukejiru) options on September 10. The new menu features a “Rich Shrimp Dipping Udon,” which utilizes shrimp shell powder and extract, and a “Rich Seafood and Pork Bone Dipping Udon,” which features an enhanced pork bone flavor. These items are expected to be available until late October.
