Japanese universities hold open campus events in June and July 2026

The Institute of Pacific Universe (IPU) in Japan hosted an open campus on 14 June 2026. The day welcomed high‑school students and their parents for university and entrance guidance, department‑specific experiences, campus tours, and performances by the marching band, dance club, cheerleading team and first‑time participants from the education faculty. A special Father’s Day gift of a Francfranc flower vase was given to attendees, and a message‑card corner allowed students to write notes to their fathers.

On 24 July 2026, Hokkaido Science University in Sapporo opened its campus for a "Campus Open Night" aimed at local families. Four hands‑on programs ran from 16:30 to 18:00, including a paper‑cup robot workshop, a paper‑city design activity, a clinical‑engineering experience with an AED model, and a stop‑motion animation workshop for elementary‑school children. The evening concluded with a short‑film screening of selected anime works, accompanied by commentary from Professor Kohei Kuramoto. Both events were designed to showcase university programs and engage the community, especially younger students, with practical STEM and creative experiences.
