Japanese wellness and hospitality sectors introduce new service models

Several Japanese wellness and hospitality facilities are introducing new service models to enhance guest experiences.

Hotel JAL City Aomori will launch ‘ReFa Rooms’ on September 1, 2026. These two specialized rooms on the top floor will feature eight beauty and wellness items from the brand ReFa, including shower heads, hair dryers, styling irons, and recovery wear. To commemorate the launch, the hotel is offering a special stay plan through March 2027.

In Osaka, Umekita Onsen Ren Wellbeing Park will begin 24-hour operations for its fitness gym machine area starting September 1, 2026. The facility, which utilizes Technogym equipment, aims to support diverse lifestyles by allowing for early morning or late-night workouts. The park integrates exercise with natural hot springs and saunas to promote physical and mental well-being.
