Japanese women's volleyball and softball teams compete in summer tournaments

MORI ALLWAVE KANoya (森AW) kept its lead in the Japan Women's Softball League exchange tournament held in Mie Prefecture from July 3‑5. The team recorded two wins and one loss, maintaining its position at the top of the Platinum Section with an overall 6‑2 record.

The Japan women’s national volleyball team, currently ranked sixth globally, entered its home round of the Nations League in Osaka on July 8. After a 6‑2 start to the competition, the squad prepared to face Brazil, focusing on stronger block defense and serving ahead of the decisive match that could secure a spot in the final round.
