Japan's Buttery and Beard Papa unveil summer limited pastries

Japan's bakery chain Buttery began selling summer‑season limited sweets at its Lalaport Anjo store on July 1. The lineup includes a coconut‑mango financier, a coconut canelé, s'more cookies and chunk chocolate cookies, priced between ¥360 and ¥430 per piece and limited to one‑day sales volumes.

In Yokohama, the cream‑puff specialist Beard Papa launched a seasonal Strawberry Cheese Cake‑filled puff on August 1, to be sold through September 15. The product features a crisp choux pastry filled with strawberry fruit and smooth cream cheese, priced at ¥320.

Both offerings are part of a broader trend of Japanese retailers introducing limited‑time dessert items for the summer months.
