Japan’s Dog‑Friendly Resorts and Cafés Expand Travel Options

Shirahama Ocean Resort in Chiba Prefecture welcomes dogs of all sizes with no head‑count limit, offering ocean‑view rooms, a dedicated dog entrance, a 350 sqm dog park with agility equipment, a seasonal “dog pool”, and full pet amenities such as cages, food dishes, washing stations and grooming supplies.

In Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, several dog‑friendly cafés and venues have been highlighted, including Dog Café docca (indoor dining, dog menu, parking), NANA & HACHI (indoor café with canine dishes), Dogcafe WanCo familiar (all‑weather indoor space), THE DOGGY’S PARK (café plus dog‑run) and the renovated farmhouse restaurant “FARE TO QE”. All permit dogs inside, provide menus for pets, and many offer terraces, parking and walking areas. These facilities illustrate the growing demand for pet‑inclusive travel in Japan.
