Japan's July 2026 Summer Anime Lineup Debuts Two New Series

The anime adaptation of the web manga *Ibitte Koranai Gibo to Gishi* will begin broadcasting on July 8, 2026 across TV stations such as tvk, TV Asahi, Chiba TV and later on streaming platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and d Anime Store. Produced by studio NEWON and directed by Keisuke Inoue, the story follows Nakamura Miye, a poor illegitimate child who, after her mother’s death, is taken in by the prestigious Kōzō family and meets her step‑mother and stepsisters.

A week earlier, on July 7, 2026, the adaptation of Eri Ejima’s manga *Tai Ari Deshita. –Ojō‑sama wa Gekai Gēmu nante Shinai–* will air on AT‑X, Tokyo MX, MBS and BS Nittele. Animated by Diomedia and directed by Shota Ibatani, it follows freshman Fukatsuki Aya at an elite girls’ school who discovers the popular “Shirayuri‑sama” Yoru‑emi playing a forbidden fighting game, sparking secret matches among the students.
