Japan's pet‑friendly summer festivals launch at The Classica Bay Resort and Pets Tokyo

Two dog‑focused summer festivals will be held in Japan this July‑August. The first, Go!Go! SUMMER ～わん・ワン・Wan！～, takes place on 20 July at The Classica Bay Resort in Yokohama. The event offers a four‑course buffet for owners and a four‑item buffet for dogs, live music by keyboardist Kousuke Murahara, and talks on summer pet care by Japan Pet Food marketing manager Takaaki Hatanoh and veterinarian Yuki Yamamoto. Tickets for the 40 participating families are sold on a first‑come, first‑served basis via the Pony Canyon “Ponican” app, priced at ¥7,700 per pair.

The second festival, “Natsuinu Matsuri 2026,” is scheduled for 2 August at the newly opened Pets Tokyo Koiwa store in Edogawa, Tokyo. Admission is free and includes a dog‑themed fair, photo booth, food stalls and games designed for pets and owners. Participants must have up‑to‑date mixed‑type and rabies vaccinations. Both events aim to promote enjoyable summer activities for dogs and their families while providing health‑related information.
