Japan's Summer Food Chains Unveil Limited-Time Salt Donuts and Ghost-Peel Udon

The Floresta organic store chain will sell a summer‑only salt‑flavored donut from August 1 to August 31, 2026. The dough is mixed with Okinawan "Shima‑ma‑su" sea salt, and three variants – plain salty, salty chocolate and salty butter – are offered as a four‑piece set. Prices vary by store and the product may run out before the end of the period.

Hanamaru Udon will introduce a six‑item summer noodle lineup starting July 23, 2026, featuring "鬼おろし" (ghost‑peeled radish) combined with pork and three flavored toppings – yuzu, pickled vegetables, and wasabi – plus three pork‑free versions. The dishes are priced between ¥640 and ¥1,250 and will be available for dine‑in and take‑out until early September.
