Ja’Quinden Jackson injured on opening kickoff vs. Patriots
Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was injured during the opening kickoff of a preseason game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. Jackson appeared to be struck in the head by the knee of Patriots returner Lan Larison while attempting a tackle, leaving him motionless on the field.
Medical personnel immediately attended to Jackson, who was placed on a stretcher and transported from the stadium via ambulance for further evaluation. Following the incident, the Eagles released a statement confirming that Jackson exhibited strength and movement in all four extremities.
Jackson’s agent, Damien Butler, later provided an update stating that the player was awake, had full use of all limbs, and had received a negative CT scan. The Patriots organization and players also expressed their well-wishes for the 24-year-old athlete.
