Jaraguá do Sul cyclists claim Brazilian downhill championship

Cyclists from Jaraguá do Sul achieved top results at the Campeonato Brasileiro de Downhill held in Paraíba do Sul, Rio de Janeiro. Darlan Tomaselli won the national title in the Master A2 (35‑39) category, while Lucas Oechsler placed fifth in the Elite division and Deyvid Winicius de Oliveira finished 13th.

The trio overcame a dry, dusty track that differed from the typical Southern‑Brazil terrain, adapting quickly during the qualifying runs on Saturday and improving their times in the finals on Sunday. Coach Guilherme Donat Bourscheidt highlighted the performances as proof of the high technical level cultivated in Jaraguá do Sul’s mountain‑bike program.
