Jarama-RACE hosts 39th FIA European Truck Grand Prix

The 39th FIA European Truck Grand Prix and the 8th Spanish Truck Racing Championship concluded at the Jarama-RACE circuit in Madrid. The event drew approximately 30,000 spectators to witness high-performance racing featuring trucks with engines exceeding 1,200 horsepower and weights of roughly five tons.

Spanish driver Antonio Albacete secured a podium finish during the season finale. In the first race, Albacete started from the second row and finished third behind winner Norbert Kiss and Jochen Hahn. In the second race, despite starting sixth, Albacete managed to climb to fifth place before a red flag incident involving driver Smith. The competition is noted for its technical demands, particularly regarding heavy braking and heat management, often resulting in visible steam from water-cooled brake discs.
