Jardim Alegre: Five dogs rescued following animal cruelty reports
Five dogs, including two adults and three puppies, were rescued from a residence in Jardim Alegre following reports of animal cruelty. According to the Military Police, the animals were found in the front of the house, exposed to rain and surrounded by feces, with no apparent access to food or water.
Local residents reported that the neglect was a recurring issue, noting that neighbors had previously thrown food over the wall to feed the animals. The resident was not present at the time of the intervention, having reportedly left the previous night.
A veterinarian evaluated the dogs and issued a report on their condition. The animals have been placed under the care of an animal protection entity, and the case has been referred to the Judicial Police for further action.
