Jardim Eldorado school undergoes infrastructure evaluation

The municipal government is evaluating infrastructure improvements for the EMEB Professora Francisca Figueiredo de Arruda Martins school in the Jardim Eldorado neighborhood. As the only school in the municipal network offering full-time education for elementary students, the facility serves 483 children from early childhood through elementary school.

Planned upgrades include roof maintenance, specifically focusing on gutters and deep-capacity rain gutters to prepare for the rainy season, as well as a general repainting of the unit. The painting is scheduled to take place during school breaks to avoid disrupting the academic calendar. Previous improvements have already been completed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and climate control systems, along with a recent upgrade to the water supply system and a 60,000-liter reservoir.

Municipal Secretary of Education Reginaldo Teixeira stated that high-impact financial interventions are being implemented gradually based on budget availability. The school, which has over three decades of history, was originally established to serve vulnerable populations by combining daycare, schooling, and health services.
