Jared Kushner accused of managing billions in secret foreign accounts

An upcoming book by investigative journalist Matthew Cole, titled ‘Princes and Thieves’, alleges that Jared Kushner had access to more than $2 billion in undisclosed foreign bank accounts during his tenure as a senior White House adviser. The report, featuring excerpts published by Vanity Fair, claims that Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) discovered these financial activities after gaining access to Kushner’s iPhone.

According to the allegations, Dutch intelligence obtained data from a Russian GRU hacker and subsequently exploited a security vulnerability to monitor Kushner’s screen in real-time. This surveillance reportedly showed Kushner accessing an account named ‘Alpha’ at First Abu Dhabi Bank. This account, managed by the UAE-funded Watani Al Emarat Foundation, allegedly received approximately $750 million from Saudi and Emirati entities starting in 2017, with funds often routed through Azerbaijan.

The book further alleges that Kushner was involved with other accounts, including one at Israel’s central bank, intended to finance off-the-books diplomatic objectives. Some funds were reportedly transferred to individuals described as a warlord, a mercenary, and a former hitman.

Kushner has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them ‘completely insane’ and ‘outrageous fabrications’. His legal team maintains that no such accounts existed and that the author has failed to provide any verifiable documentation, such as bank statements or wire transfer records, to substantiate the claims.
